 Teaching Positions

All applicants for teaching positions are required to complete and turn in the following items:

1. Standard PA Teaching Application
2. Resume and Letters of Reference
3. Act 34 Clearance (also FBI, if out of state)
4. Act 151 Clearance
5. FBI Fingerprinting
6. PA Teaching Certificate
7. Transcript(s) from college or university
8. Credentials from college placement office (if available)

Copies are acceptable for all of the above mentioned documents; however, upon employment, originals will be required to be seen of several of the documents.

---- Important Background Check Announcement ----

Governor Tom Wolf announced on June 10, 2015, that fees for child abuse clearances and criminal background checks required by the Child Protective Services Law will be waived for volunteers working with children. Additionally, the Department of Human Services (DHS) and the Pennsylvania State Police (PSP) will be reducing the cost of both the child abuse and criminal history record checks from $10 to $8 for all other applicants. These changes will take effect July 25, 2015.
FBI clearances will remain unchanged at this time as they are controlled by the federal government.
