At Manheim Elementary School, we sincerely believe that there are three crucial components to a student’s academic success: the child, the teacher and the parent. As a parent, you want nothing more than to see your child reach his or her fullest potential. We remain equally invested in helping your student succeed. Partnering together will make that shared goal more attainable.
According to the national Parent Teachers’ Association, there are two key benefits of parental involvement:
- Supportive involvement increases the probability of academic success
- Parent volunteerism contributes directly to goal and program support
Studies have shown that students whose parents are actively involved in their education tend to complete their homework assignments more consistently, achieve higher grades, do better on tests and demonstrate higher attendance rates. Research also indicates that parental involvement can produce higher graduation rates and increase the chances of college enrollment.
Simply put, taking an active role in your child’s education can directly impact his or her academic success, both today as well as many years into the future. Perhaps there is no time more important for this than during the elementary years.
At Manheim Elementary School, we pledge to partner with you in helping your child achieve great things!
