Coronavirus - May 7 Update #11
Posted on 05/07/2020

I would like to begin this week’s communication with an exciting announcement! Mark your calendars for Wednesday, May 13, 2020, for a community concert from our HS musicians. The concert will be available on our Mustang Vision Channel beginning at 7:00 PM. It will be a concert made up of past performances combined with some recent recordings. We are so thankful to our students and our staff for putting this together to help music lift our spirits as we bring our school year to a close. If you can’t make it for the 7:00 concert, don’t worry it will remain available on our Mustang Vision Channel for you to view at a time that is more convenient to your schedule – or, if you are like me, you will want to watch it more than one time!

The district will continue with our lunch program for the upcoming week. Lunchs will be available from 11:00 – 1:00 in front of the HS on Monday, Wednesday and Friday of next week. We continue to ask all participants to follow CDC guidelines, including the wearing of a mask when exiting the car to pick up a lunch. Once again, I would like to extend my deepest appreciation to our food service team who are preparing the lunches for our community each week.

As mentioned in last week’s survey, we appreciate all of our families who have been able to complete our online survey regarding our Distance Learning Program. We have once again reset the survey and would appreciate your additional feedback. The information you are providing continues to be
extremely helpful as we work toward continued improvement of our program. The link for this week’s survey is: Distance Learning Survey

I would also ask parents to continue visiting our Distance Learning Website for the most up to date information from our district buildings. As you all know, the information on this website can change daily, so please be sure to visit it often. As always, if you have any questions that are not answered by the website, you can reach out to your building principal.

While this week’s communication is rather brief, I would once again like to express my sincere appreciation for all of your support over the past several weeks. Our community has faced these challenges with unity and strength. Our district remains committed to our students and our community and we will be here through it all. Please continue to stay safe and stay healthy and we look forward to seeing everyone soon.
