Athletics & Clubs
Extracurricular activities can provide a more well-rounded academic experience for your child.
Middle school sports at Emory H. Markle Middle School (EHMMS) offer invaluable benefits for student-athletes, promoting physical development, teamwork, and social skills. Participation fosters discipline, confidence, and leadership, while also providing a healthy outlet for stress. Engaging in sports not only enhances fitness but also positively impacts academic performance, helping students grow both on and off the field.
The intramural program at EHMMS is designed to provide students with the opportunity to participate in a wide variety of activities including arts and crafts, recreational and competitive sports, while connecting to school-based curriculum.
The non-intramural program at EHMMS is designed to offer the same benefits as the intramural program, however these clubs and activities are not tied to school-based curriculum.
Each activity will be supervised by professional staff members who are knowledgeable in the activity they sponsor. Attendance is encouraged but not mandatory. Emphasis is on fundamental skills and fun, not competition.
