Crystal Gauss

Prior to joining the South Western School District July 2018, Ms. Gauss worked for 13 years as the Food Service Director for another school district and also worked in nursing homes with 11 years of experience in long term care food service.

As the Food Service Director for the district, Crystal manages six buildings and oversees all areas of the food service operations, adhering to the guidelines set forth by Pennsylvania Department of Education Food and Nutrition Services and also the United States Department of Agriculture. Her goal is for all students to have the opportunity to eat a nutritious meal, served in a safe manner.

Crystal has two boys currently attending South Western School District and two German shepherd dogs, is an avid New York Yankees fan and enjoys watching baseball with her boys in the Bronx. She has a passion for cooking, gardening and using her culinary training to cater different events for friends and family.
