South Western School District welcomed Mr. Doug Fuhrman as part of the team in 2007. Prior to becoming the Director of Accounting, he worked for five years at the Lincoln Intermediate Unit in their business office. Before that he worked at Stambaugh Ness PC and Capital Blue Cross as an auditor.
Doug is a 1990 graduate of South Western School District. He attended York College of Pennsylvania and graduated in 1994 with a Bachelor of Science in accounting. He earned his Certified Public Accountant license in 1999.\
At South Western, Doug manages the Business Office. The functions he supervises include accounts payable, purchasing and payroll. He is responsible for coordinating the annual audit performed by the district’s local auditors and for completing the Comprehensive Annual Financial Report. He also assists with preparation and presentation of the annual district budget and the Official Budget document. Doug is married and has two children.
