Prior to accepting his position as the assistant superintendent for South Western in 2016, Dr. Daniel W. Hartman served seven years as a middle school assistant principal and middle school principal in South Western. Before shifting his career to school administration, Dr. Hartman was a social studies teacher in the Dallastown Area School District from 2003-2009.
Dr. Hartman obtained his Doctorate in Educational Leadership from Immaculata University. He also has a Master’s in Educational Administration and Policy Study from Temple University, and a Bachelor’s in Social Studies Education from Elizabethtown College.
Dr. Hartman lives in York, PA, with his wife, son and daughter. He enjoys reading, writing, hiking and other outdoor activities as well as traveling and spending time with friends and family.
