Director of Data and Instructional Technology, Dr. Karen Kuntz is very proud to be a member of the Mustang family and administrative team at South Western School District. Dr. Kuntz graduated from South Western High School and earned her undergraduate degree from York College of PA, a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Education. Dr. Kuntz received a Master’s degree in Teaching and Curriculum from the Pennsylvania State University, K12 Principal Certification through McDaniel College, and a Doctorate in Educational Leadership from Immaculata University.
Dr. Kuntz’s professional certifications include K12 Business, Computer and Information Technology, Accounting 7-12, Data Processing 7-12, Office Technologies 7-12, English 7-12, Administrative Principal PK12, and Letter of Eligibility Superintendent PK12.
Dr. Kuntz has taught high school business subjects in the Central York School District and South Western School District. She began her administrative career at Conewago Valley School District with roles in building-level administration and district-level curriculum. Dr. Kuntz’s current position, Director of Data and Instructional Technology, leads the use of K12 technology resources throughout the district and facilitates the collection and submission of data for state and federal reporting requirements.
In her spare time, Dr. Kuntz enjoys reading, gardening, and visiting Philadelphia to spend time with her son, Kyle, a graduate of Penn State University and international cyber-security consultant.
